"Unnessary Semetary"

Films: Pet Graveyard (2019)

Alias: None

Type: Mystical

Location: Civilized Area/Eldritch Location

Height/Weight: That of an average human and an average sphynx cat respectively.

Affiliation: Neutral

Summary: At long last, we reach the end of this decade. It's been a long, fun, and at times scary ride, but here we are. Best to end it on a sort-of mockbuster, hmm? At least this one has a cute cat to make up for it.

History: Recently, some people have done the unthinkable. They have found a way to go to the realm between life and death. This act, known as Brinking, is actually an afront to the very laws of the universe, so the Grim Reaper is hot on these youngsters' trails. More times than often, the reaper's coming is heralded by a mysterious sphynx cat thought to be the specter's companion. Either way, these humans will not cheat death so easily.

Notable Kills: Whatever the HELL the reaper did to that woman's mouth before strangling her with a shower cord.

Final Fate: By the end of the ordeal, only two of the Brinkers are left. While the other is killed by the reaper, the other manages to break the skull of Orcus in order to escape the curse. The cat watches from a distance, knowing it's all over.

Powers/Abilities: Death can appear anywhere, and will use whatever is around to destroy the living. The cat can also appear anywhere, though it is harmless.

Weakness: By destroying the skull of Orcus within Purgatory, the curse is broken.

Scariness Factor: 3-We will admit, this version of Death is oddly violent and pragmatic, approaching the job much like a serial killer would. But when your targets are people who play around with death just to play catch-up before their time, chances are you'd be a little mad that the order of things has been upset. He also has a rather creepy face. As for the cat, there's not much to be scared of when the feline happens to be an adorable sphynx cat.

Trivia: -Sphynx cats were one of many hairless cat breeds that came into being during the 60s. Due to being products of selective breeding, they don't have any significance in ancient myth.

-You ever just look back at a whole decade of monster movies and ask yourself why you bothered to catalogue almost all of them? The answer to such a question is simple. Someone has to. Besides, it's all quite beautiful, in a way. Who knows that sort of great beings even the cheapest of these beasts will inspire in the future. Time only knows...
